My name is Phil Wainewright and I’m a Lib Dem member in Sutton, south London. I’ve been a party member since the early 1980s and was Chair of Camden Liberal Democrats when the LibDems ran Camden Council as the largest party from 2006-2010 and came just 841 votes short of winning Hampstead & Kilburn from Labour in the 2010 general election.
I first started thinking about publishing a blog on Lib Dem politics as early as 2006/7 and Raw Liberal first launched for a few brief weeks in 2010 but I wasn’t able to keep it up due to work commitments at the time. TBH I probably don’t have time for it now, either, so we’ll have to see how this goes.
